How to Develop a Positive Image in Front of the Camera

Developing a positive image is the foundation for anyone’s SUCCESS. And on this journey to becoming Successful in front of the camera, you need a positive image. The camera will tell the real story.

  • It enhances your social skills
  • Improves personal development
  • Advances educational opportunities
  • Perpetuate overall life goals.

Let’s face it; life for most girls in this country isn’t “sugar, spice, and everything nice” as society tries to make it out to be. Not even close. Girls today put up with the pressures to do drugs, participate in bullying, have sex at the youngest age, pressure to lose weight, and act older—all at earlier and earlier times in their lives.

Girls who get involed in beauty and esteem pageants that teach success strategies that give encouragement and support girls need to enhance their inner beauty, character and self esteem.

Studies have shown

Studies have shown that girls with a positive attitude and behaviors that enhance their inner beauty are less likely to engage in negative behaviors. Behaviors that leads to academic apathy, violence/bullying, substance abuse, negative peer pressure and teen pregnancy. Just naming a few.

It is my goal and inspiration to provide girls an image and etiquette course that will serve every girl and women in these a areas: 1) increase positive behaviors; 2) increase achievement and engagement in learning; 3) decrease risky behaviors; and 4) build positive relationships with peers, teachers and parents.

It has been proven that a good self image in girls and boys discourages illicit sex, drug use, and unhealthy relationships with peers, teacher, and parents.

Developing and keeping a positive self-image may be difficult at times, especially if one is affected by life’s hardships, such as a disability, poor health, or financial or other major problems. But there are things you can do to improve your self-image and self-esteem dispite these disadvantages. These things can, in turn, improve other aspects of your life like academic or financial success, relationships, and even health conditions.

Having a positive image portrays how a young lady may feel about herself, and how they relate to others.  Wearing fancy clothes or looking sassy in front of the camera does not mean you have a high level of self esteem.  Young ladies must remember that it’s not just how beautiful they look in front of the camera, but how they feel about how they look. And it’s not just how successful or smart you are, but how confident you feel about yourself to stand up for what is right.  Consider the following in order to understand the internal and external pressures girls feel and how these pressures affect the development of their self-esteem:

Have you ever heard the saying “only you can make yourself happy”? Well, as trite as it seems, it may be true. A surprising survey of adults by the American Psychological Association has shown that the most important factor to happiness and well-being is our self-esteem. Also important were feelings of independence and competency, often brought on by how confident you felt about your life. Surprisingly, common traits like popularity, power, money or luxury were rated the lowest.
